My Supply Line
My Supply Line
My Supply Line
This week we will focus on God's major ways of proving for us. Most of us live everyday of our lives wondering how to make ends meet, how to fund our lives and manage our responsibilities. We stress and wonder how we will make things happen, all the time. Today, I will talk about the supply line of God's people.
We have the richest dad in the universe.
Philippians 4:19 says, ‘And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.’
Taking a closer look at this verse: This verse talks about my God. It’s not anybody’s God, it is MY GOD. Therefore establishing a personal connect between us and God. My God is the supplier and my needs are my requirements. Christ Jesus is the supply line. Christ Jesus is the channel and the way. According to the riches of his glory, is the supply mode. God has several names such as Shammah, Elohim and more. One of his names is Jehovah Jireh which translates to the Lord will provide.
Genesis 22:14 says, ‘So Abraham called that place The Lord Will Provide. And to this day it is said, “On the mountain of the Lord it will be provided.’
The name Jehovah Jireh was revealed to Abraham. When God talks about provision, he is not only talking about money, but everything needed for life and Godliness.
2 Peter 1:3 says, ‘His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.’
There are 6 ways in which God gives and we will cover that this week.
1.Nature or Creation
2.Work
3.People
4.Miracles
5.Promises

God provides through creation and nature. This is called the natural supply. Gods created this world for us to enjoy, to use, consume and meet our needs. The earth is God's storehouse of supply. God has storehouses, just like man and earth is one such storehouse. Through nature itself God teaches us an important principle - Seed & Multiplication. God has only created once and that was during the creation week in Genesis chapters 1&2.
Genesis 1:29 says, ‘And God said, Behold, I have given you every seed bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for food.’
I assume that God primarily created man as fruitarians. Before man ever prayed for provisions, God had already provided. God created all the food that man can ever eat in his creation before creating man itself. Creation itself was designed as a continuous supply system. Jehovah Jireh is our provider. Provision was in fact God's first gift to humanity.
Genesis 2:9 says, ‘The Lord God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground—trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.’
Provision preceded purpose. God never creates people without creating the environment. The Garden of Eden was not just a home but Heaven’s supermarket. You were born into a world already equipped with all you need. There is a seed in everything that God has created, therefore leading to a blessing cycle.
Genesis 8:22 says, ‘“As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease.”’
This is a rule that is laid out by God. This is again an example of the cycles that God has established on Earth. God designed everything with reproductive potential inside it. Provision is not only received but cultivated through the law of sowing and reaping. A seed therefore represents continuity. God doesn’t just give harvest but gives seeds for many harvests. One grain can produce hundreds therefore sustaining that seed family. Seed also carries dependability. It works for anyone who applies it.
2 Corinthians 9:10 says, ‘Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.’

2 Corinthians 9:10 says, ‘Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.’
Therefore what we must understand is that, in anything that we get, there is seed and provision. The seed is meant to be held onto for the future, while the provision is meant to be consumed. Every source God contains more inside it, if you sow it. Even a smile is a seed. If you smile at people, there are chances that you will get a smile back as well. Money is a seed. If you lend money to someone during a time of crisis, this money will return to us in some way or the other during our time of need. Anything we get is a seed. The more we sow them, the more we reap.
God sustains life through the natural process.
Psalms 104:14 says, ‘He makes grass grow for the cattle, and plants for people to cultivate— bringing forth food from the earth.’
Creation obeys its creator. And the cycle continues.
Matthew 5:45 says, ‘…He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.’
A farmer can plow, plant and water but only God can make it sprout and grow.
1 Corinthians 3:6 says, ‘I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow.’
God supplies us with all the things we need through the nature that he himself created for us. When the Israelites were in Egypt for 430 years, they had a certain way of farming the land.
Deuteronomy 11:10-11 says, ‘10 The land you are entering to take over is not like the land of Egypt, from which you have come, where you planted your seed and irrigated it by foot as in a vegetable garden. 11 But the land you are crossing the Jordan to take possession of is a land of mountains and valleys that drinks rain from heaven.’
God says the landscape of Israel is very different. It rains a lot and the irrigation system ensures plentiful. God's provision sends you from a handmade effort to heaven sent flow. Today I believe that the Lord is changing your irrigation season. While you have toiled away and pushed through extreme hard work, God is going to bless your barns with plentiful. Believe it today! Believe that the Blessings are on its way!
