Clear Vision
Focus Word: Vision
Habakkuk 2:2 “Write down the vision and inscribe it clearly on tablets, So that one who reads it may run.”
Declaration: God opens my eyes to see divine strategies and heavenly assignments clearly.
Vision is not imagination. It is not ambition. Sometimes our ambition can be at odds with God’s vision for our life.
Vision is a revelation from God. It originates from God, not us.
God hasn’t given eyes to trees or rocks; to things that don’t need to move. He gave eyes to every creature that needs to move around. If you have vision, you are called to move forward; not to stay stuck in one place.
If you don’t have the right vision, you then have confusion. Vision brings clarity and direction.
In Pastor's life, till he was 16, he didn’t have a particular vision for life. He lived according to how his teachers and family guided. But later, he began forming his desires and charting his steps- getting more degrees, learning new skills, etc.
Later, the Holy Spirit gave him a vision to love for Christ and to transform communities and a prepared church for Jesus Christ; a mission and vision for Blessing Today.
A vision gives us a purpose for this life and existence.
Habakkuk received this word during a time of uncertainty and crisis. God spoke to him and asked him to write it down clearly such that the person who reads it can run with it.
God did not change his situation, He gave him the vision and direction to stay rooted in faith, even within that situation. Vision isn’t given just to see, but to run with a purpose.
Vision is not self generated, it originates from God. Vision flows from hearing God. Whatever vision we get, we need to write it down clearly just like God asked Habakkuk to. Clear vision produces movement.
We should pray for all vague directions to change and be replaced by clear vision for our life.
The purpose of writing a vision is so that a herald may run with it. It gives you momentum to run forward. Where vision is clear, movement is swift. It brings divine acceleration.
Vision sustains our faith in the waiting season. Abraham waited 25 years for his promise to be fulfilled; but if you have a vision from God, it will protect your faith. Even Habakkuk had to wait, but because of this vision he had, he was able to wait in strength and determination. Vision doesn’t remove waiting, it gives strength and perseverance to the waiting.
Vision reminds us that God is at work. He is working in the invisible realm. We may not know His timing, but it is perfect. He never comes early or late, He always comes at the right time. God’s promises never fail. Vision keeps faith alive even during the waiting.
