Is Your Faith Alive?
Is Your Faith Alive?
The focus word for today is FAITH ACTION.
The focus verse is James 2:18, ‘But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds.’
Let’s declare this today ‘My faith is alive through action today; obedience releases supernatural results’.
Faith is not merely believing in the heart, it’s demonstrating through experience. True faith moves beyond confession to participation. James teaches that faith without works is dead. James is not talking about salvation but living evidence.
Ephesians 2:10 says, ‘For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.’
To be saved and receive salvation, all of you need to do is believe. But once you are saved you have a responsibility to work for the kingdom of God while staying within the salvation given to you by him.
James 2:17 says, ‘In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.’
Hebrews 11:8 says, ‘By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going.’
Luke 6:46 says, ‘“Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?’
Every living being on this earth is created for a divine purpose. A seed is genetically coded with a purpose, however as long as you hold on to the seed and do not use it and do not plant it, the seed remains fruitless. However, once you plant it, the seed grows. It is only when faith is put into action, does it grow.
Throughout scriptures miracles followed obedience. For example, the Red Sea did not part because Moses prayed a lot, it parted when he stretched out his rod as per God’s commandment. Miracles don’t happen just from prayer and belief, but through faith-led actions. When Jesus turned water into wine, he asked for the empty barrels to be brought inside. There was an action, and it is this obedience-led action that resulted in the miracle.
John 2:7 says, ‘Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water”; so they filled them to the brim.’
Exodus 14:16 says, ‘Raise your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea to divide the water so that the Israelites can go through the sea on dry ground.’
There was a commandment here, a need for an act of obedience. God could have easily split open the Red Sea, but he likes to do everything in partnership with us. When God commanded, Moses raised his staff and stretched out to the sea, which resulted in the miracle. Even the miracle that led to thousands of people being served bread and fish came out of a partnership with a little boy who brought over his food before the Lord.
2 Kings 4:3-5 says, ‘3 Elisha said, “Go around and ask all your neighbors for empty jars. Don’t ask for just a few. 4 Then go inside and shut the door behind you and your sons. Pour oil into all the jars, and as each is filled, put it to one side.” 5 She left him and shut the door behind her and her sons. They brought the jars to her and she kept pouring.’
Obedience leads to switching on of our miracles. When we obey the power releases.
When we take the first step, not knowing what awaits, that’s called faith. Faith does not wait for clarity, it moves on conviction. Many delay miracles, because they delay action. Peter walked on water, not when he felt secured, but because he trusted the Lord. When he stepped out of the boat, he started walking on water.
Matthew 14:29 says, ‘“Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus.’
2 Corinthians 5:7 says, ‘For we live by faith, not by sight.’
Joshua 3:13 says, ‘And as soon as the priests who carry the ark of the Lord—the Lord of all the earth—set foot in the Jordan, its waters flowing downstream will be cut off and stand up in a heap.”’
If you take faith-led actions today, miracles will follow. It’s like walking on a staircase with sensors. As you take your first step, the first panel lights up, on your second step the second panel lights up and so on. The light only shows you where you are at, it does not show what lies ahead. Wait on God for the next steps in your life. He will surely lead you.
Faith that acts, brings movements in the spirit realm. Remember the story of the woman who bled for years? She made her way through the crowd, believing that merely touching the robe of Jesus could heal her. That was an act of faith. And with that act of faith came supernatural results. In the same way, the friends of the paralytic removed part of the roof to lower down their friend. This act of faith led to his immediate healing.
Mark 10:48-58 says, ‘48 Many rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” 49 Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.” So they called to the blind man, “Cheer up! On your feet! He’s calling you.” 50 Throwing his cloak aside, he jumped to his feet and came to Jesus. 51 “What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked him. The blind man said, “Rabbi, I want to see.” 52 “Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road.’
The man cried out to the Lord until he was shushed by others and his cries changed his life forever as he put his faith in the Lord. If you persist in your prayers to the Lord and your acts of faith, he will surely reward you.
Mark 5:27-29 says, ‘27 When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, 28 because she thought, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.” 29 Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering.’
Mark 2:4-5 says, ‘4 Since they could not get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof above Jesus by digging through it and then lowered the mat the man was lying on. 5 When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralyzed man, “Son, your sins are forgiven.”’
Faith is not passive, it is not silent or theoretical. It requires action. When faith and action comes together it reveals a supernatural intervention from God. Faith moves, obeys and acts. Heaven moves when we act by faith

Let’s declare this today ‘My faith is alive through action today; obedience releases supernatural results’.
- Faith is proven by Action
Faith is not merely believing in the heart, it’s demonstrating through experience. True faith moves beyond confession to participation. James teaches that faith without works is dead. James is not talking about salvation but living evidence.
Ephesians 2:10 says, ‘For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.’

Obedience leads to switching on of our miracles. When we obey the power releases.
- Faith takes the First Step before seeing the full path
When we take the first step, not knowing what awaits, that’s called faith. Faith does not wait for clarity, it moves on conviction. Many delay miracles, because they delay action. - Active Faith Produces Breakthrough
