Focus verse: Psalms 150:6 says Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord.
Declaration: My praise is explosive today; walls fall and doors open as I worship the Lord. 

  1. Praise is a command not a suggestion.
The Bible does not tell us to praise the Lord when we are in the right mood. But as it says in Psalm 150, verse 6; if we have breath in our lungs then we ought to praise the Lord. It is a command to praise the Lord. Everything created praises the Lord. We as humans, are able to verbalise, make songs, use language to praise God.

  1. Praise is a decision before it is an emotion. 
It is obedience before it is atmosphere. 
Hebrews 13:15 says Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that openly profess his name.

Psalm 34:1 says I will extol the Lord at all times; his praise will always be on my lips. 
Take a decision today and declare - I will bless the Lord at all times! I will praise the Lord at all times! And His praises shall be continually on my lips!

Psalms 103:1 says Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
Praise becomes powerful when it rises despite circumstances. In Scripture, praise often preceded supernatural intervention. 

2 Chronicles 20:22 says Now when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated.

Acts 16:25 says About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them.
Praise is the key to open closed doors. 

Psalm 22:3 says Yet you are enthroned as the Holy One; you are the one Israel praises.
Praise invites God’s manifested presence.

  1. Praise declares victory before the battle ends. 
Praise is faith speaking in advance. 
Joshua 6:20 says When the trumpets sounded, the army shouted, and at the sound of the trumpet, when the men gave a loud shout, the wall collapsed; so everyone charged straight in, and they took the city.

Isaiah 61:3 speaks of …  a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.

Psalms 47:1 says Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy.
We often imagine that it is quiet in heaven, especially when you have a cathedral upbringing. But it is not like that at all! Heaven is filled with shouts and cries of joy!

  1. Praise releases breakthrough power
Praise is spiritual warfare. It confuses the enemy and strengthens the believer. 
Exodus 15:1 says Then Moses and the Israelites sang this song to the Lord: “I will sing to the Lord, for he is highly exalted. Both horse and driver he has hurled into the sea.

Psalms 149:6-9 says 6 May the praise of God be in their mouths and a double-edged sword in their hands, 7 to inflict vengeance on the nations and punishment on the peoples, 8 to bind their kings with fetters, their nobles with shackles of iron, 9 to carry out the sentence written against them— this is the glory of all his faithful people.

Romans 8:37 says No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
