The Anointing For Ministry

The Anointing For Ministry
We continue on the topic of the Invasion of the Spirit. There are 7 major invasions of the Spirit.
There is more to it than what the eyes see and there is a reason for the manifestations that we see in the physical world. The answer to this question is the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit continuously works behind the scenes. This is the first form of invasion; universal invasion. The second is individual invasion; an example being the birth of Christ through a young girl Mary. Christ who was born through a girl, when the Spirit manifested in her became the vessel that carried the biggest whirlwind of change in the universe. You can be that wind of change. One must pray that God transforms their life and the Spirit invades them.
The third time that we see the invasion of the Spirit is when Jesus is baptised.
Mathew 3:16 says, ‘As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him’
The Spirit of anointing came upon Jesus very publicly. It was not a private event. Rather it was a very public incident that was witnessed by many who were present at the bank of river Jordan. It was at this point that Jesus became the Messiah and began his ministry. When the Messiah was born, he was given the name, Jesus. He was Jesus from the day he was born, but he then became Jesus Christ once he was baptised and the Spirit came upon him. It was only after Jesus died on the Cross of Calvary and went to the heavens to be the Father, that he was called Lord. Just like this our lives go through changes, where we see changes in positions and levels, without our knowledge, as Spirit moves in us.
Acts 10:38 says, ‘how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.’
When Jesus came to the Jordan river, he was merely a carpenter's son. But when he went back to Galilee from Jordan, he was no longer just Jesus, but Jesus Christ. As Acts 10:38 says, after Jesus was anointed he went around doing good to all. This is the same calling that we have as children of God, to do good to all.

Luke 4:18 says, ‘“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind,
to set the oppressed free”’
Jesus proclaimed at the synagogue that he was anointed to do all this as mentioned in Luke 4:18.
One learning here is: you should pick up the relevant verses for you from the Bible. You should find these verses and proclaim it aloud. Until the baptism and the invasion of the Spirit, Jesus worked as a carpenter and focused on his family. But after the anointing that he received from the heavens his season changed. Today the season is changing for many.
Another learning: you should recognise your anointing. You have to understand what God's purpose for you is and be aware of your anointing. You have to then continually proclaim it and pray over it. Jesus realised the anointing upon him and proclaimed it.
There is more said about this anointing on Christ in Hebrews 1:9 says, ‘You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy.”’
Believe this verse and declare this in your life. The beginning of the gospel can be marked by the pouring of the oil of gladness upon Jesus. Hence we must understand that spreading the gospel/ ministry is not a burden but a pure joy! This oil of gladness is the Holy Spirit, as he is a joyful Spirit. The Holy Spirit came upon Jesus to spread the gospel and the gospel is joy. The first miracle Jesus performed was to turn water into wine. In a situation that was stressful and tensed, through this miracle Jesus brought forth more happiness and joy.
Acts 2:13 says, ‘Some, however, made fun of them and said, “They have had too much wine.”’
On the day of the Pentecost many claimed that the disciples were drunk on new wine. However, in reality it was the infilling of the Holy Spirit in them being displayed. In both cases there was an overflow of gladness and joy!
