God Can Speaks To Us Directly

In the past two days, we saw that God speaks to us through our conscience and His Word. God can also speak specifically to a person in different ways.

1. God uses a person’s thoughts to speak to him.
 
2. God can also speak to a person through an audible voice. God spoke directly to Abraham and Moses. Moses is known as the face-to -face prophet. Samuel heard the voice of God when he was a boy. He at first didn’t recognize that it was the Lord who was calling him. The Lord called him three times, but each time Samuel ran to Eli, the priest and said, “Here I am; you called me.” Then Eli realised that the Lord was calling the boy. So Eli told Samuel, “Go and lie down, and if he calls you, say, ‘Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening.’ ” So Samuel went and lay down in his place. The Lord came and stood there, calling as at the other times, “Samuel! Samuel!” Then Samuel said, “Speak, for your servant is listening.” And God spoke to him in an audible voice.
 
3. God can speak through visuals - namely, visions and dreams. Dreams are visuals that we see during our sleep whereas visions are the visuals that we see when we are awake. Yonggi Cho stated, ‘visions and dreams are the languages of the Holy Spirit’.

God can interact with a person regarding the past, present or future through visions. Sometimes, these visions would direct you to the next step, it could be to protect you, sometimes it could be for intercession regarding a particular matter, and sometimes it could be warnings or even promises.

God can speak through dreams. Dreams can be categorised into three based on the source - godly dreams, evil dreams, and subconscious  dreams. God uses people with a dream. God communicated many things regarding the future with Joseph, Solomon, Peter, John, Paul through dreams.
 
As we grow into maturity in our relationship with Christ through fasting, prayer, faith and waiting upon the Lord, our spiritual senses get more and more sharpened. God can speak to us directly through our thoughts/ in an audible voice/ through visuals - and that will be life-changing if we could rightly discern the message. Probably the message would not be just for you, but for many others as well - although Joseph’s two dreams did speak of his future, there were many other characters incorporated in that dream - the cupbearer’s and the baker’s dream, pharaoh’s dream. The visions and dreams of all living here on Earth are interlaced, and therefore as we stand for the fulfilment of others’ dreams, our dreams too will become a reality. Joseph interpreted the cupbearer’s dream and two years later when Pharaoh  had a dream and his mind was troubled, the chief cupbearer mentioned about Joseph and as he explained the dream for Pharaoh and stood for his dream, it paved way for the fulfilment of what Joseph dreamt about himself as a teenager.
