Smile At Your Future
In Proverbs 31, we read “she can laugh at the days to come”. When you think about your future do you feel sad, or scared? If you are a child of God, you need to learn to smile thinking about the future. We should aim to be like a Proverbs 31 type of woman. There are 31 qualities that I have seen in this Scriptural passage. We need to smile at the thought of our future because we have the assurance that our future is in the hands of the Lord.
Our future does not lie in the hands of our spouse or our children. There are people who place all of their hope on their children and end up being disappointed when children grow up, get married, and move on with their lives. But God will always be there for us.
When you finish your life on earth, you begin your real future as a child of God!
2 Corinthians 5:15 says And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.
So we need to take the decision today, to live for the one who sacrificed His life for us. This is what we did when we were saved and received Jesus into our lives. The Lordship was completely in the hands of God. And this means that God is the ruler of all things and of our lives.
1 Corinthians 3:16 says Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst?
1 Corinthians 6:19 says Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;
1 Peter 1:18-19 says (18) For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, (19) but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.
To be absent from the body means being present in the Lord.
Such foundational truths are to be remembered by children of God and live according to the truths. You should smile at your future because God has set aside a good future for His children, for those who believe.
Jeremiah 29:11 says (11) For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
God’s plan is to give each of us a good future, and all He is asking from us is our cooperation.
Hebrews 12:2 says fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
To Declare: There is no suffering in my current life because of the glory that is about to be revealed in me.
