How To Have A Positive Attitude In Negative Circumstances: Part 1

Romans 10:17
Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.
Just like faith comes from hearing, so also unbelief comes from hearing. Be careful what you hear.
Mark 4:24
“Consider carefully what you hear,” he continued.
In our age and time, media and technology have reached new heights. Information is available at our fingertips. At such a time, we need to be very careful what we hear and read. Not just media, but we need to be careful about what we read even in children’s books. Events not proven to be part of History are being included in the syllabus. History books have become biased and twisted. So is the news. They are no longer news but stories.
Romans 10:10
For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
When we believe in our heart and confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord, we are saved from eternal death. Accept, believe, confess. ABC of salvation.
If we need to have a positive attitude while living in a negative environment, we need to decide what to hear and what not to and what to believe and what not to. What we let into our hearts, is what reflects on the outside. The output is based on the intake.
Numbers 13
Moses called twelve men and told them to survey the land of Canaan. When they surveyed the land, they saw the people there, their beds and were afraid. They saw them as giants. The group was divided into two and they brought back their report. Ten of them came as a group and reported the conquest of the land to be impossible and called them giants and saw themselves as grasshoppers. Whereas the other two said, no, God gave this land to us and God is with us, we can take over the land. These two groups of people saw the same land, and same people. But one group reported negatively while the other reported positively. Seeing this, Joshua made a decision to not associate with those who report negatively.
Joshua 2:1
Then Joshua son of Nun secretly sent two spies from Shittim. “Go, look over the land,” he said, “especially Jericho.”
Next time, Joshua sent only two people instead of twelve. They came back with a positive report. It was because these people came back with a positive report that they could take over the promised land. All the others who believed the negative report, perished in the wilderness.
To live a positive life in a negative circumstance, stop listening to negative reports.
