An Invitation From Jesus
Jesus, even before He was 2 years old, the wise men came to see Him with gifts of gold, myrrh and frankincense. The wise men came with a minimum of 60 camels, their servants, soldiers etc. They travelled for days just to see the King of the Jews, which was prophesied over 4000 years ago.
Micah prophesied that the Messiah would be born in Bethlehem. Gabriel the messenger angel visited Daniel and told him about the time when the Messiah would be born. Daniel was a Magus. The wise men or the Magi were actually magicians. They often advised kings. Daniel, in his time, was a prominent magi. God revealed many things that were to come to Daniel.
Everything was precisely predetermined about the birth of the Saviour. The God who made the heavens and the earth, was born through a woman into this world. God limited himself into a little body of a baby. First, a foetus, then a small baby. This is mind blowing!
God almighty humbled himself and became man for us and lived among us to bring salvation.
Matthew 11:28-29
‘“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.’
Whatever is troubling you, stress about exams, business debts, problems in family life, no matter what it is, God is willing to help you. Leave your burdens at the feet of Jesus. God is calling you. He will give you your rest. He is faithful. His promises do not change. He is gentle and humble in heart.
Summary
It is an open invitation from Christ. He lived and died for us. Are you willing to live for Him? He calls us by name. He wants us to give Him all our burdens and troubles. Are you ready to do it?
