Let Blessings Pass Through Your Hands

Our God is a miracle worker. His works last forever. Works that we can testify of. If we want changes in our life, we must turn to the unchanging God.
Matthew 14:13-20
When Jesus heard what had happened, he withdrew by boat privately to a solitary place. Hearing of this, the crowds followed him on foot from the towns. When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them and healed their sick. As evening approached, the disciples came to him and said, “This is a remote place, and it’s already getting late. Send the crowds away, so they can go to the villages and buy themselves some food. ”Jesus replied, “They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.” “We have here only five loaves of bread and two fish,” they answered. “Bring them here to me,” he said. And he directed the people to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people. They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over.
After the death of John the Baptist, Jesus retreated by Himself to a quiet place. That's when people flocked to Him and remained with Him and at the end of three days He gave them food to eat. This miracle showed the nature of the Father and His interaction with man. The Lord shows us what we must do if we are in a similar situation.
1) We must have faith in the works of God.
God’s works are far more than we can even imagine.
Romans 1:17
For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”
There are different kinds of faith, different levels of faith.
1. Faith that is needed to be saved.
2. Faith for daily living.
3. Gift of faith.
4. Faith that even Jesus marvelled at.
There is a supernatural supply from God. Normal believers do not believe in this supernatural supply due to which this door does not open for them. We must believe in God’s supernatural supply.
2) Sow seeds for a great harvest
Till today in the history of mankind, there never has been a reaping without a sowing.
If you wish to see a harvest, sow the seeds. We must sow before the harvest. For every need there should be a seed sown.
Nobody would have imagined that the food for such a big crowd would come from a young boy with five pieces of bread and two fish. The small things in your hands hold the miracles for tomorrow. When the Jews count, they consider only men and leave out women and children. Someone who was not even counted, was used by the Lord. People who are not counted, who are written off, are wanted by the Lord.
Several times in the church too, God works through the most unexpected people. There is a beauty about it. God can use the little things you have, to trigger a miracle. It could be the little money you set apart in a money box. Small acts. You may not always be on the stage or at the forefront but you can be a channel of blessings like the mother of the young boy who cooked the meal and gave him the bread and fish which in turn with the power of God, fed thousands.
You may start small but God can take humble beginnings and efforts, and take it to a higher place. Start with simple things. Share the Gospel with one person, share your testimony, teach someone what you have learned. Start small and the hand of God can make it big. Give it into the hands of the Lord.
The young boy and his mother have gone down in history as a blessing. Their names are not known but they fall in the ranks of those who were used by the Lord for His glory. Even if you are not counted or hidden or unknown or even rejected, no one is hidden from the eyes of Jesus. He fixes His eyes on us and works according to the need.
The young boy gave up his meal without holding it back. Let us give to the Lord what we have, as little or insignificant as it may seem for in God's hands it is a miracle for thousands.
