Build Your Life Upon This Revelation
Being a child of God enthroned on high, we can be assured that there is an exaltation even in our lives. God builds our life upon the revelation we receive.
Matthew 16:13-18
When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say the Son of Man is?” They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.
Jesus lived as an ordinary man; he had no halo as seen in many artwork or special features and that’s why Judas kissed Jesus as a sign for the crowd that came to arrest Him while He was with the disciples. But Peter received the revelation of Christ from the Heavenly Father and through the Holy Spirit. And immediately Jesus said to Simon that you are Peter, and on this rock, I will build my church. That was a direct answer from Jesus: I will build my church upon the revelation you received from my Heavenly Father. Any spiritual construction is happening upon a revelation. When the truth that is in the Word becomes a revelation in us, it will change your life!
According to the Biblical/ Hebrew concept, there’s no categorization of life as spiritual and secular. The Greek philosophers brought in the concept that secular and spiritual are different. However, to God; there’s no such division because everything related to us – our spirit, soul and body is handled by God Himself. That’s why Jesus asked, ‘why do you worry about what you’ll eat, what you’ll drink and what you’ll wear?’ The Heavenly Father knows that you need them. He knows it all! From Him, everything comes out; through Him everything is flowing and to Him everything is flowing back.
The Old Testament was a shadow of the New Testament. Moses in the wilderness was a shadow play and we who are in the new testament era is part of the real play. The same God who provided for His people in the wilderness deeply cares for each one of us who are His children!
Psalm 105:37
He also brought them out with silver and gold, and there was none feeble among His tribes.
The Israelites coming out of Egypt is symbolic of the salvation experience where one comes out from the clutches of sin, curse, sickness and the devil. It’s given in detail in 1 Corinthians 10:1-10.
On the first Passover night, the Israelites had roasted lamb which is symbolic of Jesus’ body being roasted in the fire of God's wrath. That’s what happened in the Cross of Calvary, in which lies our salvation.
Exodus 12:35-36
The Israelites did as Moses instructed and asked the Egyptians for articles of silver and gold and for clothing. The LORD had made the Egyptians favourably disposed toward the people, and they gave them what they asked for; so they plundered the Egyptians.
In one night, a huge transaction took place from the bank of Egypt to the bank of Israel. God settled all their wages. The salvation package includes all that is required for life here on Earth as well for eternity. This revelation will enable us to soar in life.
The Israelites had a long journey before them, that too by foot, be it the elderly or the little children. As they had the Passover Lamb, a supernatural healing and supernatural strengthening/empowerment took place among them along with a huge wealth transfer. If you’ve received this revelation from the shadow play, the same has to take place in your life being a part of the New Testament.
Who do you think your God is?! He is Matchless, He is Unique and there’s no God and Saviour like Him!
