God Will Not Condemn You Anymore

Romans 8.1,2 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.

Romans 7 is a chapter that talks about the helplessness and wretchedness of man. But there is freedom in Christ Jesus even before we go to Heaven which is what is written in Romans 8. We have a choice to make as to whether to go to Heaven or Hell. Salvation is available to all. God has no partiality. Anyone who receives Jesus and decides to live for Jesus at any point of time before he/she dies will be saved. Even the worst sinner can be saved. ‘NOW’ there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Christ Jesus is our Rock/ Hiding place etc.
The law of sin and death reigns over all those who are not in Christ Jesus. But now for those in Christ Jesus, there is freedom through the law of Spirit.

There is a difference between ‘judgement’ and ‘condemnation’. Judgement has both good and bad results according to whether a person is  good or bad.
Condemnation is an adverse verdict. Four types of condemnation can affect us:

1. From God: Hebrews 10.31 It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. No one can rescue us from God’s wrath except the blood of Jesus which can save us from eternal condemnation. This is the good news for those who are in Christ Jesus.
2. From myself: Many condemn themselves because of guilt even after Jesus would have released them through His blood. This is an inward condemnation which persecutes us more than God’s condemnation. The solution is that we must live in Christ. Galatians 2.20 says ‘I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.’  We must come out of the mindset of self condemnation by living a life hidden in Christ.
