The Blessings In The New Testament

We are talking of blessings and we already saw how Jesus delivered a bend over  lady.  When healing her Jesus  calls her Abraham's daughter  who is bound  by the devil. This is the same for all of us who are oppressed by diseases. We all are capable of being delivered the same way. We just have to accept  the Abrahamic blessings. In Psalms 112  Abraham's righteousness  made him blessed. In Psalms 125 we see God will never let the devil prevent us from getting our deserved blessings.

Romans 4: 16-17
Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham’s offspring—not only to those who are of the law but also to those who have the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all. 17 As it is written: “I have made you a father of many nations.”He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed—the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not.

Abrahamic blessings are guaranteed in our lives.

Galatians 3:14
He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit

Galatians 4:1
What I am saying is that as long as an heir is underage, he is no different from a slave, although he owns the whole estate.

God redeemed us through Jesus to receive  the Abrahamic blessings. Abraham was entirely blessed by God. In the same way we  have that same right and are entitled by the word of God .

Genesis 1:21
And so God the sea and every living thing with which the water teems and that moves about in it, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind.And God saw that it was good

This is the beginning of the blessings from Abraham in the old testament. Now we are going to look  into how the blessings  originated in the new testament through Jesus.

 This started when Jesus  taught the beatitudes on the sermon of the mount.  This was the proclamation of blessings by Jesus .

Mathew 5:3
“Blessed are the poor in spirit,
    for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Humble ones will reach heaven because of their humility.  Jesus says the kingdom will be possessed by not the high priest or any Holy men but by sinners & prostitutes  because  they are  humble in spirit.

Revelation 3:17
You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked

2.Blessed are those who mourn,
    for they will be comforted.
Jesus says the ones who are sad or depressed  never think you have no one but you have a comforter to comfort you always 

Mathew 5:4
Blessed are those who mourn,
    for they will be comforted.

3. Blessed are the meek 

Mathew 5:5
Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth
The possession of the heaven real-estate is for the meek. The millennial reign of Jesus. 

4. Satisfaction for craving after right living 

Mathew 5:6
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
    for they will be filled

5. Reciprocation of mercy  
 Those who show mercy to others will be indeed  blessed by God.

Mathew 5:7
 Now when Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him, and he began to teach them.

6.Revelation of God will be to those who are pure in heart.
Our God is Holy so we have to be Holy too

Mathew 5:8
Blessed are the pure in heart,
    for they will see God

7. Sons and Daughters of God will bring peace on earth.

Mathew 5:9
Blessed are the peacemakers,
    for they will be called children of God.
 A way to identify a  child of God is whether they spread peace. Children of God bring unity and harmony.

8. The persecuted on earth shall inherit the kingdom of heaven

 Mathew 5:10
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
    for theirs is the kingdom of heaven

If anyone has suffered due to the gospel they will inherit the earth.
