No Weapon Shall Prevail Against Me
Psalm 107:2
‘Let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story— those he redeemed from the hand of the foe,’
Say this out bold and loud - No weapon shall prevail against me!
Say it till you believe it. Children of God must make it a habit to say words of blessings and prophecies out loud.
Romans 10:9
‘If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.’
Don’t limit yourself to just believing and carrying it in your heart. You need to say it aloud too.
In the same way many of us keep our love for Jesus in our hearts. We don’t very often tell Him that we love Him. We need to make it a habit to speak to him and declare it with our mouth as it is said in Romans 10:9.
We often feel that we don’t need to tell Jesus that we love Him with our mouth because He sees and knows our heart. Yes, that is true. But, remember the time when Jesus and the disciples were gathered near the sea of Galilee and they were having a meal together and Jesus asked Peter if he loved Him?
Jesus knew Peter’s heart but He still wanted to hear it from Peter’s mouth. He wanted to hear Peter say it aloud. Jesus asked Peter three times if he loved Him.
In the same way Jesus wants to hear it from us too.
Isaiah 54:17
‘no weapon forged against you will prevail,’
Many of us are afraid of weapons. We are in constant fear of people plotting against us.
We need to believe and take to heart and speak out loud - No weapon formed against me shall prevail! Amen. The word of God is our weapon.
In the Bible we find a clear description of Goliath. He was around 6 feet and 9 inches. No one was able to take him down. And when David challenged him with a sling and stone, Goliath teased him.
David went to face his enemy with a sling. But his strength was in the Lord. The enemy had all the weapons to take down the children of God, but it was all in vain.
If you are a child of God, nothing can stand against you. Hallelujah!
Not only was David able to defeat Goliath, but he cut off his head with Goliath’s sword. The weapon that the enemy brought was used to defeat them.
We don’t have to fear people. We have Jesus on our side. He is the supreme judge.
2 Corinthians 2:11
‘in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes.’
We know the schemes of the enemy. We need to have the spirit of discernment.
Ephesians 6:11
‘Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.’
Summary
Our weapon is the Word. And we need to use the Word of God daily in our lives. We need not be afraid of what the enemy is plotting against us because we have the Saviour on our side. He will fight our battles. Amen.
