Anxiety Disorder -3 ( Baptism with Love)

The Holy Spirit is on the move within all of us right now (it is that season). 

The soul is divided into 3 parts - mind, will and emotions.
Mind - thoughts & intellect forms the mind of a person. Mind is a thought factory. We are thinking 24 hours. Repentance happens when there is a transformation in our thought patterns.
 
Emotions - there are different types of emotions. Fear and shame came about due to the sin of Adam (Genesis 3:10). Man started having a hiding or secretive nature. Joy has to be the master emotion to come out of this miraculously. Instead of joy, if sadness becomes our master emotion we will go into depression that comes in 3 major forms - mild, serious & severe which can all be healed by God.

It is through our thought process that people end up having anxiety disorder. Anxiety, fear and panic constitutes anxiety disorder. In the world we live in, anxiety disorder is most commonly seen amongst men. God does not desire his children to live in anxiety. He provides everything for us (Matthew 6:25-34). Jesus gave a lot of importance to anxiety in his ministry as it is the opposite of faith which is key to our relationship with God. Jesus commanded that we should not be anxious about anything as this was a crisis of faith. Jesus, who is our provider, is always with us and we only need to trust Him and have faith in Him.
Anxiety is about things we do not see but fear can be of things we see like fear of snakes, heights etc.

Fear can be classified into 3:

1. Fear of man
2. Fear of Satan 
3. Fear of Death

There are more than 7000 fears/phobias within these 3 categories but Jesus had conquered these fears on the cross for us. He says in Luke 12:4  “I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more.
The fear of man should never be a snare for us. We can overcome the fear of man by trusting Jesus. 

Jesus saved us from the fear of death, who is our last enemy. 
Hebrews 2:14  “I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more.
 It is only when we understand the truth that we receive freedom.

On the cross Jesus crushed Satan's head. So we don’t have to fear darkness.
Colossians 2.14 - having cancelled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross.

When fear comes we open ourselves for the demon spirits to enter us. Fear is an evil spirit that takes us away from faith. Phobia is an unhealthy fear. God’s Word is the medicine to overcome this fear. 

Psalm 91 is a Psalm of God’s protection which we must receive by faith into our lives to overcome fear. 
God offers us divine immunity: Psalm 91:5-6 says “You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, 6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday”. 
Just as the President has immunity, God’s children also have immunity from Satan provided we believe in this verse. 
We are Kings of God and have divine security. There is a conflict between our intellect and spirit and through the help of the Holy Spirit, we can believe. It is possible for us to believe in that realm. We will receive a revelation to overcome our fears. We must transplant our anxious/ fearful thoughts in our imagination with the Word of God. 

Childhood fears instilled by parents are seeds that develop into phobias. It must be plucked out from the root and replaced by the Word. For example, the fear of snakes in one’s imagination should be replaced by picturing the presence of God’s angels to protect him. 

Secondly, We must decide not to obey what the unhealthy tell us to do. 

Thirdly, we must resist this fear with the love of God.
1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
If we grow in the perfect love of God, we can overcome fears. 
1 Corinthians 13 is a chapter of the baptism with love. Baptism in the fire of love  is the highest level. Our love is never perfect but revelation of God’s perfect love helps us to come out of all our fears. It heals the damages that have come into our mind.
