Count Yourselves Dead To Sin

Romans 6:11 ‘In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.’
 
Count yourselves dead to sin means you are separated from sin. 
You are also dead to the law of Moses. 
Galatians 2:19 “For through the law I died to the law so that I might live for God.’
And at last you are also dead to this world.
 
Galatians 2:20 ‘I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.’

The verse above is a bold statement and proclamation of Paul the apostle. 
This is a great revelation and we need to pray to understand this truth!

When it says that ‘I have been crucified with Christ’, what does that mean? We were not alive when Christ was crucified. Even Paul was not anywhere around that time to be a witness. So then what does Paul mean? 

There were two criminals who were crucified on separate crosses along with Jesus. 

But being crucified with Christ means you were crucified in the same cross in Jesus. Paul is counting himself crucified with Christ. 
The only thing that is accurate in the whole world is counting. No one can disapprove or deny counting. 
Paul is asking us to ‘count’ ourselves with Christ. 

That is the privilege that we have. We were nowhere around when Christ was crucified. But we died with him and the resurrection power of Christ flows through us. It is no longer us who live but Christ who lives in us.

Mark 11:24 ‘Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.’
This is where the thoughts of man and God collide. Humans have a natural tendency to first see and then believe. But that is not how God works. He asks us to first believe and then you will see.
